I started printing in 2015. Primarily in FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) Utilizing common 1.75mm PLA, ABS and similar filaments. Later with SLA (Stereolithography) utilizing UV lasers in polymerization of reactive resins.
I've modified machines replacing hardware and recoding firmware's (Marlin, Sailfish, Smoothieboard). For professional systems, manipulated Stratasys systems to use aftermarket filament for ~90% cost reduction. (Stratasys EEPROM hack revisted – Have Blue [dot org])
My passion was in learning of the mechanics of motion, and it provided a quick introduction ACME thread, Leadscrews, Ballscrews, metered rotation, tolerances and loss in backlash. As well as feeling the friction in linear rails, rods, and carriages.
Simple circuit design for continuity testing of firing circuit without accidental ignition.
Enclosed in .50cal ammunition container
Built-in power supply & charging port.
Multiple independent, isolated terminal/binding ports.
A project in my adolescence. Salvaged components into a concept. Allowing me to further understand various mechanical systems, such as steering components, clutches, and variations in braking systems.
The project required learning new skills, such as different welding systems and wiring requirements to implement a 240V 50A receptacle.
